If Loplop had a daughter

I think this is my most favorite print I’ve made to date.
The idea came about from a postal friend, Private World in Phoenix, Arizona. He dropped me a card a while back that asked me if I was familiar with Loplop, the half-man, half-bird character that Max Ernst frequently painted. That one sentence has inspired me to explore the possibilities of attributing animal qualities to human figures. Birds are obvious for me, since I’ve been drawing mockingbirds for a while, but I think I’d like to expand that into other characters. I feel a little silly for not having thought about doing this before.
